June 27, 2012 (Sutherland, Neb.) - Residents will soon be able to share coffee and crullers while chatting with their state representative.

State Senator Tom Hansen will be joining residents at the Village of Sutherland Meeting Room in Sutherland on July 10th. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and is sponsored by Great Plains Communications.

"Sponsoring these events gives the constituents the opportunity to meet with their Senator to exchange ideas and give input to the political process," said Tim Armstrong, Regional Manager at Great Plains Communications and the chief planner for these events.

According to the senator’s biography, Sen. Hansen has been serving in the Nebraska legislature since 2006. A longtime Nebraskan, Hansen graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science. He is a member of the Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation, the Nebraska State Historical Foundation, and the Nebraska Cattlemen Education and Research Foundation.
