Another year and another fantastic example of the spirit of giving inherent in Great Plains Communications’ culture. Steve True is that great example and we can’t be happier that he’s the recipient of the 2011 Community Service Award!
Bloomfield has a great resident in Steve True. Steve has been protecting the city as part of the Bloomfield Fire Department for 28 years serving as fire chief for the last 3 years. He is also a continual volunteer for the Bloomfield Blood Mobile, as well as a donor, and he serves on the Safety Committee at Bloomfield Community Schools.
Steve has also dedicated much of his time to the children of Bloomfield. He refs basketball for the local Jr. High School, umpired youth ball games and coached YMCA Boys Basketball. Plus, he served on the Bloomfield school board for 8 years!!
