9/23/19 – Nebraska Telecommunications Association (NTA) Team Members to Assist Great Plains Communications with Broadband Deployment Project in Rural Herman, Nebraska
Eric Carstenson, NTA President and Jamanda Wolfe, NTA Member Services Administrator will spend a few hours assisting Great Plains Communications with a broadband deployment project in rural Herman on Wednesday September 25th as part of the “Dirty Jobs With the NTA” program. The program highlights NTA member companies’ broadband deployment projects across the state.

8/6/19 – Great Plains Communications Completes Purchase of InterCarrier Networks
Great Plains Communications, the largest privately-owned telecommunications provider in Nebraska and a Grain Management portfolio company, announced today that it has completed its acquisition of InterCarrier Networks (ICN), a high-capacity, fiber-optic network carrier with unique routes in Illinois, Indiana, the St. Louis metro area, and Kentucky.

5/23/19 – Great Plains Communications Welcomes Josephine Bernson as Chief Revenue Office
Great Plains Communications, the largest privately-owned telecommunications provider in Nebraska, has added Josephine Bernson to their team in the role of Chief Revenue Officer. Great Plains Communications, the largest privately-owned telecommunications provider in Nebraska and a Grain Management portfolio company, announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire InterCarrier Networks, a regional fiber optic carrier with a high-capacity network spanning Illinois, Indiana, the St. Louis metro area in Missouri, and Kentucky.
