Network Operations Center Technician
Blair, Nebraska

We are looking for a detail-oriented person to monitor and assist in network troubleshooting from our state of the art Network Operations Center. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for network surveillance and dispatch; using various applications to monitor the performance and availability of GPC services and troubleshooting/escalating when issues arise.

Successful candidate must have knowledge of telecommunications and information technology networks and systems such as servers, routers, Layer 2/3 switches, voice switches, VOIP, CATV, fiber optics/copper/hybrid fiber-coaxial construction and splicing. Must also have basic knowledge of a network management system (NMS), including simple network management protocol (SNMP). Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, and customer relation skills are a must. Must be able to rotate work shifts (7am-4pm and 8am-5pm) as well as participate in after-hours on call. Must have a valid driver's license, be able to travel for several days in a row if needed, and lift a 20 lb. piece of electronic equipment.

One to three years of technical experience is desired. Professional certifications including A+, Network+, Security+, and CCENT are a plus.

Payroll Associate
Blair, Nebraska

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Payroll Associate at our Blair, Nebraska headquarters.

Duties include:
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll
- Process required tax and payroll filings
- Assist with internal management reporting and analysis
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns
- Prepare and submit employee expense reports for payment

Knowledge of accounting principles and payroll tax regulations is a must. Successful candidate must have strong computer skills, experience with Excel, written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer relations skills, and the ability to work independently and problem solve. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience is desired. Three to five years payroll experience is required. Payroll certification (CPP) helpful but not required.

Property Compliance Associate
Blair, Nebraska

We are looking for a detail-oriented person to fill the position of Property Compliance Associate.

Duties include:
- Managing the records and support for the LB312 tax credit program
- Managing the preparation of select tax and compliance filings
- Preparing and filing the Nebraska Public Service Commission Entity Report and Form 43
- Preparing tax reports for property tax filings
- Creating record units as requested
- Maintaining capital expenditure reporting
- Preparing and distributing monthly capital budget report
- Preparing general ledger balance sheet account reconciliations

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent, plus 1 to 2 years of experience is desired. Property and/or tax experience preferred. Successful candidate must have knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliation processes, asset capitalization rules, and state and local tax returns preparation. Must also possess strong computer skills including experience with Excel, written and verbal communication skills, and excellent customer relations skills.

Staff Accountant

Duties include:
- Bank reconciliations
- Cash and debt monitoring
- Covenant monitoring and analysis
- Preparation of statements of cash flow

Broadband Technician
Various Work Locations in Nebraska

We are looking for energetic, detail-oriented individuals to fill the position of Broadband Technician. We currently have openings in the following Nebraska areas: Creighton, Imperial, and McCook. Please specify work location preference on application.

One to three years telephone and internet installation and maintenance experience desired. Telecommunications or electronics degree preferred. Must have knowledge of basic electronics, cable color code, test equipment, computers, key systems, and DSL modems. Successful candidates must also have the ability to interpret staking sheets, maps, work orders, and cable counts, and splice cable and fiber as needed. Experience with construction equipment and tools, including trenchers and backhoes, is a plus. Excellent communication and customer relation skills are a must. Must possess a valid driver's license, CDL license preferred, and the ability to dig ditches, climb ladders and poles, and lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.

Construction Laborers
Travel Required

Great Plains Underground Construction, based in Creighton, Nebraska, is looking for laborers to install communication and utility infrastructures.

Must be able to operate construction equipment and tools, including trenchers, backhoes, skid loaders, tractors, and trucks. Must also be able to dig and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Valid driver's license is a must. CDL-licensed employees eligible for extra compensation. Various work hours and weekly travel required.

This position usually meets in Creighton, Nebraska on Monday mornings, travels to jobsites in various locations and returns to Creighton on Friday afternoon/evening. Employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Creighton or the job site (whichever is closer and easier for you). Employees are often out of town 4 nights a week.

Overnight travel expenses and meals paid. Excellent benefits package available at 3 months of employment. EOE.
