Broadband Technician
Various Locations in Nebraska

We are looking for energetic, detail-oriented individuals to fill the positions of Broadband Technician in various Nebraska communities including the Chapman, McCook, and Red Cloud areas.

One to three years telephone, cable TV, and internet installation and maintenance experience desired. Telecommunications or electronics degree preferred. Must have knowledge of basic electronics, cable color code, test equipment, computers, key systems, and DSL modems. Successful candidates must also have the ability to interpret staking sheets, maps, work orders, and cable counts, and splice cable as needed including fiber. Experience with construction equipment and tools, including trenchers and backhoes, is a plus.

Excellent communication and customer relation skills are a must. Must possess a valid driver's license, CDL license preferred, and the ability to dig ditches, climb ladders and poles, and lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.

We are looking for an experienced leader to fill the position of Project Manager.

This position includes:
- Serving as the lead project manager for technical and other business-related projects that address a wide variety of large and/or complex initiatives that will often involve multiple internal departments and/or external customers.
- Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects according to deadlines and within budget while ensuring consistency with the company's strategies, commitments, and goals.
- Coordinating the efforts of team members, vendors, third-party contractors, and/or consultants in order to deliver the defined deliverable(s).
- Building project teams, and developing, planning and executing project activities and communications.
- Managing changes and ensuring high quality control throughout each project's life cycle.

Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively apply the project management knowledge areas across the five project phases.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus three to five years of experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred. Experience with project management software tools is required. Must possess strong communication and customer relation skills. Presentation and corporate training experience is also desired. PMP or equivalent industry certification is a plus. Must be able to work outside of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. if necessary, travel, and possess a valid driver's license.

Construction Laborers
Travel Required

Great Plains Underground Construction, based in Creighton, Nebraska, is looking for laborers to install communication and utility infrastructures.

Must be able to operate construction equipment and tools, including trenchers, backhoes, skid loaders, tractors, and trucks. Must also be able to dig and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Valid driver's license is a must. CDL-licensed employees eligible for extra compensation. Various work hours and weekly travel required.

This position usually meets in Creighton, Nebraska on Monday mornings, travels to jobsites in various locations and returns to Creighton on Friday afternoon/evening. Employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Creighton or the job site (whichever is closer and easier for you). Employees are often out of town 4 nights a week.

Overnight travel expenses and meals paid. Excellent benefits package available at 3 months of employment. EOE.
