Great Plains Communications is mourning the loss of a dear friend and employee. Jon Marc Augustin, Broadband Technician working out of Crofton, NE, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015.
As a committed and beloved employee, Jon would have celebrated his 10 year anniversary with the company this July 21, 2015. He was a kind and caring man who had great passion for his work and his community. Like many who were born and raised in the Midwest, Jon loved the outdoors, particularly shooting sports and working with his hands to craft, weld and create timeless pieces for his family to cherish.
A private family memorial service was held today, Thursday May 28, 2015 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, SD with the Rev. Dani Jo Ninke officiating. The burial of his cremated remains will be at a later date.
Jon is survived by his wife Kiyvon of Crofton; three sons, Jesse Augustin of Ogallala, Tommy Augustin of Kearney and Cory Augustin of Crofton; parents Norry and Lee Augustin of Columbus, sister Jaci Augustin of Ceresco, niece Jena Augustin of Columbus, brother-in-law Thaine and wife Peg Saunders of Duncan, father-in-law Tom Saunders of Omaha, NE.
