Voicemail Instructions
Please select your location for your voicemail access number.
Getting Started
- Call your Voicemail access number from the above list using a touch tone phone.
- Either:
a. Press # if calling from the phone your voicemail is on,
OR
b. Enter your 10 digit telephone number if calling from a remote phone. - Enter your password, followed by the # key. Your password will be a default code of “0000&” until you change it.
- Main Menu: Press 1 to retrieve message, or Press 9 for mailbox set up.
Mailbox Setup
From the Main Menu press 9, then:
Press 1 – To get greeting options.
Press 2 – To change password.
Press 3 – Enter your password, followed by the # key. Your password will be default code of “0000” until you change it.
Press 4 – To change auto login.
Press * – To return to main menu.
Press 1 – To listen to greeting.
Press 2 – To save the greeting.
Press 3 – To delete the greeting.
Press 4 – To re-record the greeting.
Press * – To return to mailbox setup.
Access Your Voicemail
From the phone subscribed to service:
- Dial xxx-7011
- If prompted, enter your password and then #.
From a different phone:- Dial xxx-7011
- Enter your 10-digit mailbox number
- Enter your password and then .
Record Your Greeting
- Access your voice mailbox.
- Press 9 for the mailbox setup menu.
- Press 1 for greeting options.
- Press 4 to record your greeting.
- Record your greeting and then press #.
Change Your Password
- Access your voice mailbox.
- Press 9 for the mailbox setup menu.
- Press 2 to change your password.
- Enter your new password and then press #.
- When prompted to verify the password, enter it again then press #.
Retrieve Messages
- Access your voice mailbox.
- Your first new message may play immediately. If not, press 1 to listen to your messages. You will hear the announcement “You have x new messages and x saved messages.”
- Press 1 to listen to new messages.
- Press 2 to listen to saved messages.
When Retrieving Messages, You Can:
- Press 1 Play the message again
- Press 2 Save the message and play the next
- Press 3 Delete the message and play the next
- Press 4 Save the message as new
- Press * To return to main menu
Using Voicemail to E-Mail
- Check your E-Mail as you normally would.
- When you get a voice mail message, you will receive an e-mail from ‘Great Plains Communicatons’ delivered right to your inbox. The message will have an attachment.
- Open the attachment and your media player will play the message.
- If desired, you can save the attachment.
- Follow the links in your message to save or delete the message from the Voicemail system.
